Deadline for Artist in Residence (Extended)

The Students of Colour Collective is currently looking to host its first Artist in Residence!
Our aim is to challenge systems of oppression and provide better futures by using art practices as forms of activism. We are open to various mediums including but not limited to performance art, dance, theatre, visual art, film/video, photography, poetry, and new media.
We are able to offer $1,000 as an honorarium to the successful artist for the duration of the contract. The artist will receive partial payment at the beginning of the residence and the remaining half upon completion of art work with artist talk.
We require at least three hours per week be onsite with remaining hours to be worked offsite (please speak with office coordinator for more details).
As an advocacy group for self- identified Indigenous, mixed racialized and students of colour, we are looking for artists who also meets this description.
Please submit a brief proposal (approximately 250 words), bio, two samples of your work/portfolio and two references by April 30, 2019 to Feel free to contact us with any questions.
